The Guardians Looked Like A Little League Team In New York And Are Heading Back To Cleveland Down 0-2
What a time to have your two worst games of the season. And here's the thing: the Yankees are good. But they're not even playing well in my opinion either. They're making mistakes and running the bases horribly and giving up baserunners. It's just that we have played so fucking bad that it hasn't even mattered. I mean, where do I begin tonight? How about in the Top of the 1st when we popped Aaron Judge up in the infield with no one out and THIS happened:
"Yankees get on the board right away" is a ridiculous was to say that we dropped a pop up in the infield. But Bibee got out of the first. The only problem is, he couldn't get out of the 2nd....
Can't win like that. I don't understand how this team I'm watching right now even made it to the playoffs, let alone out of the ALDS against the Tigers. But then again, maybe Marty Mush was right all along? Maybe the Yankees do have a cakewalk path to the World Series….
What really sucks about this is that you all know I'm a receipts guy and I'd love to go through an entire year's worth of Mush talking shit about how easy New York's path is, but the problem is, he's right. We look like a Little League team out there compared to them. Wild pitches. Missed popups. Dropped catches in the outfield. Lather, rinse, repeat. It's been a fucking joke for two games.
The ONLY good news is that now we get to head back home and put a Lefty on the mound against them at Progressive Field against a guy who hasn't pitched in three weeks. But guess what….the Yankees are still favored in that game. How wouldn't they be? Anyone with two working eyes can see what's happening in this series. I'll be heading home Friday night after a quick 4-0 sweep. I came to New York and all I've gotten is diabetes, cavities, and my ass kicked by the Yankees.
