Kevin Stefanski Says The Owner Is NOT Making Him Play Deshaun Watson, And He Will Continue To Be The Browns Starter

So Kevin Stefanski said today once again that Deshaun Watson gives the Browns the best chance to win football games and he will continue to be our starter. People in Cleveland are very upset about it, and I can see why. Here's some Deshaun Watson stats for you:

- Since 2007, out of 566 passers through six weeks, Watson ranks: QBR: 558th, Yds/Dropback: 565th, First Down Rate: 566th

- At one point yesterday, Deshaun was 0 for his last 25 on 3rd downs

- Deshaun's 34.4 total QBR yesterday was his 2nd highest of the season

- The Browns are now 1-5

- Cleveland traded 3 first round picks and guaranteed this man $230,000,000 just to have him do this (when healthy)

So yeah, I see why Clevelanders are mad. I personally think our entire team stinks. So while there are people in the streets calling for Jameis, I don't think he'd help either. But I guess I can't debate anyone who'd say yeah but why not find out? The fact of the matter is that in a normal organization, you wouldn't have tied your entire future to a player with such bad baggage for so much money and for so many years. But the Browns aren't a normal organization. The Browns are a dumpster fire, and people are demanding answers as to why everyone else says he should be benched, but they won't do it. There are 2 notable answers today:

1. Jimmy Haslam is making Kevin Stefanski play Deshaun. I guess it would make sense? He's paying the guy the money. And he's paying the coach. So if Haslam says Kevin, play him or be gone....Kevin has to decide if he'd rather be employed by the Browns or not. Honestly, getting fired and getting paid NOT to coach the Browns probably sounds pretty good right now. But Stefanski says that's not what's happening...

Okay fine Kevin I believe you but if you're telling the truth, you're about to let Deshaun take you down with him. I think you're a smart guy and a good coach, but if you're really the one holding out on Deshaun, at some point it's going to be your fault for playing him.

2. The Browns are publicly shaming Deshaun for all the bad things he's done.

I mean obviously he's joking but then again, is he? What other reason would you allow this man to continue to trot out on Sundays and hold onto the football until he gets sacked, or when he does have time, throw the ball 5 feet short of the receiver or 500 feet into the stands? It makes no sense. But the good news is we get to do all of this again next week. Browns vs. Bengals on Sunday, Lose in an Embarrassing Fashion, Stefanski Press Conference saying he's going to stick with #4. It's going to be a treat.
