The Tigers Were Ranked As The Worst Remaining Playoff Atmosphere So They Put It On Their Scoreboard During Game 3
So The Athletic ranked the home-field advantages for teams still in the MLB playoffs. I don't know what they used to gauge these rankings, but I do know they put Detroit dead last, the day before playoff baseball returned to Comerica for the first time in a decade. Could this have been an inside job to fire them up? I wouldn't put it past them. And it certainly fucking did, seeing as the graphics operator threw it up on the scoreboard today for the home crowd.
Tip of the cap to Detroit today. Their crowd certainly brought the noise, although I'm questioning if they even needed to. The Guardians haven't scored a run in 20 fucking innings of postseason baseball, a franchise record. If there weren't any Tigers fans at the game today, it would've been dead silent while Cleveland was at the plate. Not even a crack of the bat would make noise, because there fucking wasn't one all game. But instead, the entire city showed up and showed out, making it the largest playoff crowd ever at Comerica.
Again, good job today Tigers fans. Detroit, do you see how I just complimented you? This series has gotten way too personal. I mean, I cracked one measly joke today that got 17,000 favorites….
….and now you're all nonstop in my mentions and DMs saying #mean things! Learn to win with class. And if you're really that upset about a JOKE, then it must've struck a nerve because…..the truth hurts. Whatever. Onto Game 4. We finally start past 4 pm for the first time all series. Maybe the Cleveland bats will be awake by then?
