RIP To The NBA Schedule Maker After LeBron Voiced His Concerns With Having To Fly To Milwaukee For A Preseason Game

Listen King, I think the simplest answer is that Milwaukee is the place where the Bucks play. And you have a preseason game against the Buck tomorrows, so that's why you're getting on a plane and heading to Milwaukee. But I'm assuming you already knew that? I'm assuming that you are more so questioning why you have to do it....not why you're doing it. Some people may argue that you'll make over $48,000,000 this year to play basketball alone, and you should just play the schedule the NBA lays out for you, but in this situation, I agree with the King! The rest of their preseason slate has all had one common denominator: they are out on the West Coast.

Don't get me wrong, I do see what LeBron is saying. Why can't the Lakers stay out west for these meaningless scrimmages? But I do hope he understands that he's not the only one going through these trials and tribulations. Take his first opponent for example, the Timberwolves. They had to fly out to LA from Minnesota for their first game, and then flew home for Game 2, have to go to New York for a 3rd game, and then end the preseason in Chicago. But who cares about that....they're not LeBron James and the Lakers. Someone explain to LeBron why the Lakers have to travel!!!

Okay, in all seriousness, isn't this a lame complaint? It's not like we're asking LeBron and the Lakers to take the horse and buggy across the country here. It's a 6 hour flight from LA to Milwaukee, and they'll do it on a private jet. As someone who flew private a grand total of (1) times, I didn't find it to be the most strenuous of tasks. And I hate to be the guy to do this, but do we think Mike complained about preseason road trips? No, Mike probably pushed his Honda uphill both ways to the Bulls preseason games. And that's why he's 6-0 in the NBA Finals and LeBron is under .500. But ANYWAYS, thoughts and prayers to the NBA schedule maker. Lame complaint or not, the Lakers will be at home for all 4 of their preseason games next season.

Update: Smokes with a great reply.
