ESPN's Weekly Roundup Said Ohio State's 35-7 Victory (Up 35-0 Until Garbage Time) "Had To Feel Like A Loss To The Buckeyes"
Look I'm not going to link the article to ESPN because I wouldn't give those mother fuckers one penny, let alone one click. But here's a little excerpt from their weekly roundup of the College Football weekend. You guys remember the weekend, right? The #1 team in the country, Alabama, lost to Vanderbilt for the first time in a million years. And they were joined in their embarrassing upset loss by #4 Tennessee losing to unranked Arkansas, #9 Missouri losing to Texas A&M, #10 Michigan losing to unranked Washington, and #11 USC losing to unranked Minnesota. That's 5 teams in the Top 11 all losing, and #8 Miami had to storm back late to win by 1 and avoid it being the 6th. But instead of focusing on how maybe, just maybe the SEC could potentially be a smidge bit overrated in their weekly roundup, ESPN chose to focus on how OHIO STATE "looked sluggish" and "it had to feel like a loss for the Buckeyes" even though they beat Iowa.
Am I misremembering or was Ohio State up 35-0 on Iowa….?
The score finished 35-7 with a garage time touchdown from that kid out of Columbus, who said he wouldn't even have gone to Ohio State had they offered him (they didn't), getting a Make-A-Wish style score in the Shoe. But other than those 7 rinky dink points late in the 4th, Iowa was never even close to even being close to scoring. 35-0??? Ohio State looked sluggish? Felt like a LOSS? Write the sluggish line if you want. Say it was 7-0 at halftime. But the idea that the 35-7 victory over a team that has been ranked, with the biggest game thus far this season hanging on the horizon of next week, would feel like a Loss shows how far ESPN has fallen. And it shows how much in bed they are with the SEC. Three Top 10 losses for the SEC alone, but it was Ohio State who should "feel" like they lost. If Alabama beat Vanderbilt 35-7 I can guarantee you that the headline would be how the Tide handled their business in the conference. But they lost to an unranked team that lost to Georgia State earlier in the year, and I'm wondering how SEC-ESPN will spin zone it? Perhaps that a road loss in the SEC is better than a home win in the Big 10?
Fuck em. Fuck em all. This Ohio State team is such a wagon that we're going to take down ESPN, the SEC, Michigan, and anyone else who stands in our way this year. "Feels like a loss". Let me know if we every fucking lose, you clowns.
