The Jayden Effect: NBC Wants The Week 6 Ravens vs Commanders Game For SNF But CBS Won't Give It To Them
And so it's begun. The national media is absolutely in LOVE with Jayden Daniels and they want everyone to know it. What a whirlwind of a season it's been, and we are only on week 5! I expected the season to be way more of a roller coaster- we have a rookie QB, a questionable offensive line, and lots of holes in the defense. But it's fucking NUTS what a stud QB can do for a team. The O-Line is playing their dicks off, just absolute dawgs up front. And the defense was lights out on the road in Arizona, something none of us expected. It just goes to show how Jayden has already begun to turn the entire franchise around. 3 straight good games, and NFC player of the week, an 82% completion percentage, and now the networks are fighting to get them on their airwaves.
I don't blame CBS for wanting to hold onto this game either- Lamar vs Jayden is going to be cinema. I'm also very glad they aren't giving it to NBC for Sunday Night Football- after all, Jayden is still a rookie and Lamar is a 2x MVP. We don't really need them compared in prime time in front of everyone. I'd prefer Jayden to have as little national spotlight on him as possible right now. I prefer him to do the regular Sunday grind as much as he can, to keep him in rhythm, and not change a thing. All that stuff will come later- for now we have to remember he's still only 4 games in to his NFL career.
But obviously if he keeps playing like this, the more and more spotlight he will get. Networks fighting over him, jersey sales through the roof,
and you just know he's going to be in some car insurance commercial by next week. Where's Eastern Motors at by the way?! Are they still making the GOAT commercials????
I know some Commies fans are mad that now we are getting all this attention. Well, duh dude. All the attention we got over the last 25 years was when our field injured our star QBs, or when our owner was involved in yet another sexual harassment lawsuit, or when the stadium leaked poop water on the fans....and so on and so forth. I love that we're getting positive attention for once. The Washington Commanders: America's Team. It sounds great to me.
