The Browns Updated Win Total Has Sharply Fallen To An NFL Worst Of 5.5
Well, there you have it. I blogged on Sunday night after going into Vegas and getting beaten, as favorites, by a horrible + injured Raiders team that I had given up on the Browns this year…..and it appears that our good friends at the DraftKings Sportsbook have made the same decision. There was a time not too long ago that Jersey Jerry and I stood behind the Gambling Cave and talked about who the best bet in the AFC North was to win the division, and the phrase "Cleveland could definitely win it" was uttered. Now? After perhaps the most embarrassing start in franchise history….from a franchise that went back-to-back 1-15 and 0-16 seasons….it appears they no longer can "definitely" win it.
Jesus Christ. The Ravens started out 0-2 and the Bengals started out 0-3….and they both have a mere 10x and 40x better chance of winning the division than us AFTER FOUR GAMES. That's how bad Cleveland has been thus far. It's not like we're out of it based on the standings or anything. There's been four games! We're 1-3 and the clear favorite is 2-2. But when you lose back to back games, as favorites, against two of the worst teams in the league in the Giants and Raiders, well folks, you become the worst team in the league. And that's what we are right now. A Cleveland Browns team with a $230,000,000 quarterback and arguably the best defensive player in the sport, with a 2x Coach of the Year, sitting with the lowest over/under win total in the league. Through 4 games, our win total has dropped 3 games. Currently tied with the Panthers, Patriots, Titans, and Giants at the question of will you possibly be able to win 6 games this season? And honestly guys, after looking at the rest of our schedule, I think the clear and obvious answer is NO.
Find me 5 more wins on that schedule. And let me say this: if we go to Washington this week and lose the Jayden Daniels and the Commanders, then try and find me 5 more wins on that schedule. The fact of the matter is that we may go 0-6 in the AFC North alone. And the Chargers, Saints, and Chiefs are all looking very solid. Can we go to Philly and beat the Eagles? Not a fucking chance. Can we go to Denver and beat the Broncos? MAYBE. And that gives us 2 wins. Maybe 3 if we beat the Dolphins in Week 17, although I think it should be moved to next March and played during the Special Olympics. That's how bad Miami and Cleveland look right now. And let's be clear: Miami probably beats us by 2 touchdowns in that game. Their win total is still 7.5!
Bottom line: season is over. And the franchise has reverted back to where we were for about 20 straight years: looking forward to the NFL Draft. I personally want Quinn Ewers, but with our luck, we'll go all in on Sheduer and then Prime will say he ain't coming to fucking Cleveland. But then again, who would want to?
