A Rusty Jordan Love, Swiss Cheese Defense And The Worst Kicker In The NFL Were Too Much To Overcome For The Packers Against The Still Undefeated Vikings

Let's be real, the Packers deserved to lose this game in so many ways. Tons of penalties, too many errant Love throws, not guarding Justin Jefferson or Jordan Addison, zero defense whatsoever in the first half, and multiple missed field goals. It's a miracle the Packers were in sniffing distance of the game in the 4th quarter.

Jordan Love was very rusty. The Vikings defense is also incredible and the way they blitz is a nightmare. Tip of the cap to them, that's not a team you want to face. Love was under siege all game and had to make quick decisions as a result. When you haven't played a lot, you're going to rush that clock in your head and make stupid plays. There were hospital balls a plenty, forced throws into tight coverage that had no business being attempted, and chucks into the void just praying something good would happen.

There was still plenty of good from Love and by no means was any of what happened today a real concern. The fact that he's healthy and throwing for nearly 400 yards and 4 touchdowns is a good thing. This throw to Reed was on the money.

Three picks can't happen, but hey he did show up wearing a Brett Favre jersey. Gunslinger mentality through and through.

Didn't help the defense that Jaire Alexander wasn't out there today. The one guy who can go toe to toe with Justin Jefferson and contain him a little. Instead it was Keisean Nixon and he stood no chance. Jefferson and Addison had their way with the secondary. In the first half Green Bay had zero pass rush and let Sam Darnold stand back there with no worries. In the second half that began to change a little, but the damage was already done.

I'd love to know why it's impossible for the Packers to roster a competent kicker. Since Mason Crosby left the building it's been a disaster. I didn't think it could get worse than Anders Carlson, but Brayden Narveson is doing his best to prove me wrong. You've got kickers basically unlocking the code to field goals across the league. 50 yarders are chip shots now. Fucking Aubrey on the Cowboys makes 65 yarders in his sleep. It's a chore to get one through the uprights with Narveson. MLF backed him after the game, but you gotta be serious about that position. If he even makes one of his misses today then things are completely different late in the game. Need a new kicker tomorrow.

2-2, could be worse, could be better. Shake off the rust and get ready for a trip to So-Fi next week. If you need me I'll be searching the Diddy files to see if Narveson was there. Kidding, but only kinda.
