TCU's New Duo Of Maddie Scherr And Hailey Van Lith Are Going To Take Over Women's College Basketball This Year

Let me start by saying that TCU almost had a Mount Rushmore of NIL Women's Stars before Haley Cavinder decided to transfer back with her sister Hanna for one more season at Miami:

We've written about these four women in excess here at Barstool SPORTS:

Anyway, the smoke has now settled and what we have left is a great duo between Maddie Scherr and Hailey Van Lith. In an NIL world, it's no surprise that TCU wasn't even the first or second choice for these women, but a good mixture of booster money and that sweet Fort Worth campus made for a perfect storm. Who else does TCU have on the team? I have no idea, and I'm not sure it matters for most guys like you and me.

But let's talk ball for a second to see what the Horned Frogs are trying to avenge. TCU went 21-12 last season and missed the tournament, which was an absolute disaster. That was after they started a school record 12-0 and had to FORFEIT two games because they didn't have enough players on the roster. They held open tryouts on campus to fill out walk-on spots to be able to field a competitive team for the rest of the season. That was after star player Sedona Prince went down with an injury, and if you're wondering if you've heard the name before, you probably have because she's been in college since 2018:

And I have no clue if they're still together, but women's college basketball Twitter was abuzz in 2021 when she was dating a girl who was 4'7:

So there's no shortness of greatness on this team and I'll see you guys in April when the Horned Frogs go the entire distance. Obligatory Malcolm Smutler slide to finish things off:
