The Dolphins Might Be Back: Entire NFL Panel Picks Seahawks to Beat Them
I know I wrote a blog the other day about how our season is over, and for the most part, I still stand by that. However, if media panels keep picking against us in unison, we might actually have a shot. Everyone, including myself, has already written off the Miami Dolphins after losing Tua. But you know who hasn’t? Vegas. The Dolphins opened as 6-point underdogs, and that line has since moved all the way down to 4.5.
Now, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out who the public will be betting on in this game. Everyone, including their mothers, is going to be all over Seattle. And yet, the line has dropped by 1.5 points. That tells you something. When the betting line moves against the public consensus, it’s often a sign that sharp money is coming in on the other side. Vegas knows what they’re doing, and it seems like they might think the Dolphins have more of a chance than people are giving them credit for. Combine the line movement with the media’s unanimous love for Seattle, and we might just be looking at a Dolphins outright win.
This game is going to be low-scoring. I’d be surprised if either team manages to put up more than 17 points. Unless they’re playing Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, the Dolphins' defense is solid. They’ve shown that they can lock down opponents, and I expect nothing less than a defensive clinic from Miami this Sunday. If the defense steps up and the offense manages to put together a couple of scoring drives, we might be in for a surprise upset.
At the very least, the Dolphins aren't dead yet—despite what everyone else might think.
Prediction:
Miami 16
Seattle 13
