Streamer IShowSpeed Broke A Record By Having Over One MILLION Viewers Concurrently On His Livestream In Indonesia Today

By now if you don't know who IShowSpeed is, you're probably living under a rock. In a world of kids who used to want to grow up to become the best basketball player of all-time LeBron or third-best-behind-Kobe-Bryant MJ, or even an astronaut, if you go into a classroom today, more people will tell you they want to become the next IShowSpeed or Kai Cenat. We've written about him ample times on this SPORTS blog:

And just when you think streaming can't get any bigger, today IShowSpeed broke a record by having over a MILLION people watching him concurrently during his "IRL" live stream in Indonesia. He might be in the running for an Oscar too after his reaction when he hit it:

The only way I can really compare live-streaming numbers is to stuff that Barstool does. For example, Wake Up With Mintzy averages 13 concurrent viewers. Speed is doing checks notes 76,923 multiple concurrent Mintzy streams all at once. Or if you want to get some bigger numbers, you can expect somewhere between 5,000 to 10,000 concurrent viewers on any episode of the Unnamed Show with two of the biggest sports media personalities and Kirk. If you don't want to consume his content, you can at least respect the fact that somehow, someway, one million people do live and millions after that.

With all that being said, if someone were to ask me Barstool's biggest miss, it'd probably be not getting involved in the gaming space before it was too late. They really wouldn't buy Smitty a $5,000 gaming PC for him to actually complete a challenge instead of ending it early. Remember those Dave v Smitty Romper Room feuds? Special stuff:

We could have had the next IShowSpeed. Pain.
