This Roughing The Passer Penalty Is One Of The Worst Calls In The History Of Football

In a game that was filled with bullshit calls, this roughing the passer is one of the most egregious calls I've seen in all my days watching football. I'd call it the worst if I didn't see the blown PI call in the Rams vs Saints 2018 NFC championship. I don't think this shit call is the result of the game getting soft, I simply think this crew of officials for the Indiana / UCLA game is completely brain dead. Meanwhile a play where the player launches himself for a blindside shot at a receiver (literally the definition of targeting) is ruled a clean play. Hilariously bad officiating Saturday night in Pasadena.

But that's fine, flags were the only way UCLA's offense could move the ball down the field, and Kurtis Rourke looked like Tom Brady against UCLA's defense. I mean 307 yards, 4 TD's, and going 8/8 on 3rd down is an unreal stat for an Indiana football team that was absolute DOG WATER on both sides of the ball last season.

Indiana football has been so bad in the past that my eyes couldn't believe what they were seeing, I kept waiting for the clock to strike midnight and Indiana turn back into a pumpkin. Not this team. UCLA isn't the greatest, but any other year an IU team traveling to the west coast and playing a halfway decent team would be an automatic loss. Coach Cignetti might just be the real deal. At least he's a step up from having a literal high school coach last season. I'm officially smoking on that Cig pack. Bring on Michigan, feed me Ohio State, fuck Purdue. Never Daunted. The Big 10 title is Indiana's to lose.
