Hold Up, Patrick Surtain: Jalen Ramsey is Now the Highest-Paid CB in the League
I don't know where the fuck all this money is coming from, but I'm not the one to ask questions. As long as we keep Jalen Ramsey in a Dolphins uniform, I don't give a fuck if they're getting the money from the cartel—I ain't saying shit. Jalen Ramsey has been a savage his entire career. He plays the game the way it's supposed to be played: he's tough, physical, has good ball skills, and he's not afraid to back up his trash talk on the field. In my opinion, he's been the best corner in the league since he came into the league, and boy, am I glad he plays for my team.
I've got to give the Dolphins some credit; I'm glad they let Patrick Surtain II—son of Dolphins legend Patrick Surtain and a Broward County legend in his own right—enjoy his 48 hours as the highest-paid corner in the league before handing Ramsey the bag. No shade towards PS2; once Ramsey hangs up his cleats, Surtain will be the clear-cut number one corner in the league. But seriously, congrats to both players on securing their money. It's the kind of thing most of us can only dream about—making $24 million a year to play a game.
