The Indiana Fever (0 Team USA Members) Have Jumped The Las Vegas Aces (4 Team USA Members) In The Newest WNBA Power Rankings

Look if there's one thing that my father taught me never to do it's to put stock into ESPN's WNBA Power Rankings. He told me from a young age, Son, we only trust The Athletic when it comes to judging girls on their ability to play basketball. ESPN has a clear and obvious agenda, plus, they're simply looking for clicks these days to tread water with their dying company. But my father is going to click on this blog (just to go to the bottom and comment NO ONE GIVES A FUCK! despite it getting a large amount of views), so I don't feel like I'm disappointing him when I point out that ESPN has dropped the Las Vegas Aces behind the Indiana Fever in their newest rankings.

Quick reminder that the Las Vegas Aces have not one, not two, not three, but four members of the most recent Team USA.

^ Please note that championship picture is from the OLYMPICS, and not from the Team USA vs. the rest of the WNBA challenge that they lost. Anyways, point of the blog is that despite having A'ja Wilson, Kelsey Plum, Chelsea Gray, and Jackie Young on the Aces…..the Fever are coming. Not just in the weekly rankings either, in the actual standings too.

They started 1-8 on the year. They have now won 16 of their last 24, including 4 straight. I won't mention the Chicago Sky have now lost 6 in a row and are on the verge of missing the playoffs, only because this blog is about the Fever / Aces…not the Sky. But if we're talking Fever, we're talking about how a "little white *" from Iowa has taken a bunch of nobodies from drafting #1 overall every year to literal title contention. Couldn't be on Team USA though! Not ready yet! Her time will come!

No, her time is fucking now. And I know there was a lot of hate this year early on, but now it's a general consensus that she is the greatest player to ever do it….and she's been doing it for less than a year. I mean, their odds of winning the title in the last month alone have gone from 100/1 on Draftkings (#DKPartner)….

^ If Dave Portnoy hits that bet it'll be the craziest thing this planet has ever seen. A bigger win than when Michael Burry bet against the housing market. But my question is this: at what point does he cash out? Folks that's more than people make in 3 years right there. And I think it's only going to rise. Does $150K matter to him? I don't think so. But what about $500K for a team that still isn't likely to actually take home the title? But also, DK wouldn't be offering to cash him out if they didn't think the Fever could actually win it all…
