Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty Started the Season With a Casual 267 Yards and 6 Touchdowns
I have incredible news for any running backs with Georgia Southern coming up on the schedule: the Eagles' defense is able to be run through like shit through a tin horn — what an ironic turn of events. Boise State's Ashton Jeanty put up good enough numbers on Saturday to be having a solid season if he didn't get another carry until October.
Jeanty could have easily eclipsed 300 yards today if Boise State wanted him to, but the Broncos only gave him one carry in the final 13 minutes of the game — and still scored touchdowns on their final two drives that totaled just 3:32 combined.
Jeanty and Boise State taking on Oregon next week has become a must-watch game. I'm sure the Ducks will have no problem scoring against a Broncos defense that gave up 45 points to Georgia Southern, but they better have a plan ready to stop this guy before you look up and he has two 40-yard touchdown runs in the first half.
Boise State has a real chance of representing the Group of Five in the College Football Playoff, too, and Jeanty looks like the perfect guy to go to Notre Dame or Texas and ruin somebody's season.
