Vanderbilt QB, Diego Pavia, Is Talking His Shit After A Virginia Tech Player Called Him A "Poor Man's Trace McSorley"

So Big T already covered the game in which Vanderbilt beat Virginia Tech outright, after coming into the game as two touchdown underdogs. I agree with his premise that the Hokies season should be cancelled if you lose like that, but on the other hand, Vanderbilt has to feel like a million bucks, right? Georgia did their part by dismantling Clemson, but they were favorites. Vandy's the ones who shocked the world. SEC! SEC! SEC!

Now you'd think the pride of victory would be enough, but new quarterback Diego Pavia needed more than that. He took to the podium after the game and let everyone know that a Virginia Tech player called him a "poor man's Trace McSorley".

Don't get me wrong, winners write the history books. Diego Pavia, who jumped onto the scene last year when he led New Mexico State to a victory over Auburn, can say whatever he wants right now. But are we all on the same page that calling someone a "poor man's Trace McSorely" is a hilarious, hyper specific chirp in the midst of a game that has zero to do with a quarterback that last played college football for Penn State in 2018? Talk about a stray shot at Trace McSorley! All the man ever did was be a 3x second team All-Big 10 QB, and he holds the single season passing yards and TD records at Penn State....plus career yards. Now he's sitting in the NFL as a journeyman practice squad quarterback, drinking a beverage on his couch being the real life version of the Lil Sas meme...

I get they're both approximately 6 foot tall and 200 pounds, but I'm still trying to figure out where this came from. Either way, I love it. And Diego can now talk his shit….although maybe he should wait until SEC play to see if he's really that dude? Or maybe he knows he's not and needs to do it while he still can.
