Never A Doubt! The Guardians Score 5 Runs In The 7th And The Lucky Parking Spot Moves To 6-0

So I tweeted this morning at 11:04 am that my Dad had taken off work, seeing as the Guardians had blown their 10 game lead in the division, and was going to the Guardians game to stop the bleeding and retake 1st place. And, of course, that he had secured his Lucky Parking Spot. You know, that parking spot that Big Cat told me I have to text him directly every single time he secures it and that Dave is known to place a mere $100,000 on from time to time....

Won't mention that he cashed out of that bet because he got nervous, and the Guardians went on to win handily. Anyways, I thought I was doing a service to the people by letting more than just Big Cat know, but apparently they wanted to see it fail? Because as soon as the Royals leadoff hitter went yard on the first at-bat of the game, my mentions were flooded with people chirping me. And two batters later, when another home run made it 2-0 Royals before I could even get it on TV, people were calling it ballgame.

But the Tribe battled back, cutting it to 3-2, until Kansas City knocked in two more in the 6th and took a 5-2 lead to the 7th inning.

And this is where I owe you all an apology.  Because I was under the impression that baseball games were 9 innings, not 6. I won't post individual tweets because when they go low, we go high. But my goodness, you'd have thought we were down 500 runs. People calling it Over. People saying to tow my dads car out of the lot. People saying the magic has worn out. But thank God the umpire allowed play to continue, because after a FIVE RUN 7TH and another save for the greatest closer in baseball history, not only did the money line cash, but so did -1.5.

7-5 Guardians. First place back in hand. And it was time for the King to talk his shit. 6-0 on the season.

Congrats to all those who rode.
