Grant Hill Is Already Trying To Switch Up, Now Claiming He'd "Consider" Jaylen Brown For The 2028 Olympic Roster

Hey Grant Hill….

I can't lie, the more Grant Hill opens his mouth and talks about Jaylen Brown and Team USA, the more infuriating it is. Ever since the initial snub went public it's been nothing but bullshit from Grant Hill. Talking about Jaylen not being on the team because of positional need, despite that same positional need not existing when the player on the roster was Kawhi Leonard. After that whole spinzone clearly didn't work, Hill then moved onto the whole calling Jaylen a conspiracy theorist approach because he was vocal about Nike's potential impact on this stuff

How do we think that went? Oh that's right

and now here Grant Hill is, claiming he'd "consider" Jaylen Brown for the 2028 team. If anything, that might be the most insulting part of this whole fiasco. The same guy that by all accounts promised Joel Embiid a starting spot in order to get him to commit to Team USA would "consider" Jaylen Brown if he was interested? I'm not sure who is the bigger bozo when it comes to Team USA between Hill and Steve Kerr, but it's close.

It sounds more like Grant Hill took a look into the future and realized how cooked he might be come 2028 given the decisions currently going on in 2024. Would it surprise anyone if both Tatum and Brown told Grant Hill and Team USA to get bent in 2028 for all the bullshit they've put them through these last few weeks? All of it was completely avoidable, yet ever since the jump there always seems to be drama involving those guys as a result of the decisions and the actions of Team USA's leadership. It was bizarre when it first happened and it remains bizarre today.

And I'm sorry, Grant Hill can talk about all the talent on 2024 roster he wants, but that still does not justify his actions. Tyrese Haliburton is on this team to collect DNP-CDs, Steve Kerr refuses to use his point guards to initiate the offense, so why is he there? That couldn't be Jaylen Brown? Why was Kawhi selected in the first place when Jaylen is essentially the same guy but younger and healthier? Then when he had an opportunity to correct this wrong and Jaylen had the postseason run of his life, he still got passed over, only for a few weeks to go by and Grant Hill to start talking about him potentially being an option for 2028? Does he not get what he continues to be doing here?

On one hand, with the Olympics being in LA and it still being an honor to represent your country, maybe by 2028 all the drama and hard feelings from these 2024 Games would be figured out and both Tatum and Brown would agree to sign on. It actually might come down to who the coach is if we're being honest, but either way, with Grant Hill talking like this after everything that has transpired this summer, it wouldn't shock me one bit if he's burned that bridge forever, at least with Jaylen.
