Love Wins: After Dating For Years, Doubles Partners Tomas Machac And Katerina Siniakova Broke Up a Month Ago, Stayed Committed To The Olympics, Won Gold, And Are Now Clearly Back Together

As a wise man once said, true love is hard to find. Sometimes you think you have true love and then you catch the early flight home from San Diego and a couple of nude people jump out of your bathroom blindfolded like a goddamn magic show ready to double team your girlfriend. And sometimes you turn to the game of tennis to find that elusive love you've been chasing or want to rediscover. 

Tennis players Tomas Machac and Katerina Siniakova had been dating since they met on tour back in 2020. She's a decorated doubles player, having won 9 slam titles in her career. On occasion Siniakova played mixed (male/female) with her boyfriend Machac, a top 40 singles player, but they had yet to team up at an Olympics. That changed this year, only snag was that they broke up just before the tournament got going. Instead of bailing, they decided to stick with it and go for gold. The result? They won the whole damn thing. 

Therapy? A new dog? Have a baby? Nah, turns out the best way to rekindle that spark in your relationship is to win a gold medal together. 

I'm just picturing one of them having a new boyfriend or girlfriend only for that new person to grow concerned they're playing with their ex at the games. They're assured that it's just tennis and country pride, nothing else. Then you watch them win gold only to start seeing them make out on the court. 

If we're going to rank the best kinds of sex, gold medal sex a month after breaking up has to be right up there. Siniakova and Machac kept it low key at the presser as if we all didn't just see them passionately kiss on the court.
