Interesting Development: Kentucky Football Has To Vacate Wins For A Level 2 Violation Despite The Head Coach Not Knowing Anything
So the way this story goes is that Kentucky football had 11 players get paid for work they never did between 2021 and 2022. The NCAA determined it to be a Level 2 violation, and while the investigation came back that no one at the school and/or the Head Coach knew about the violation, it still happened. And therefore, Kentucky football will be on probation for 2 years and will have to vacate games that used ineligible players for 2+ years.
Now don't get me wrong, I could not care less about Kentucky football. Lions do not concern themselves with sheep. However one thing I do care about is the ridiculous amount of hate I got from people for saying the other day that Michigan's 15 minutes of fame is about to be over now that the NCAA is issuing their Notice of Allegations against Michigan football.
People saying Harbaugh didn't know, Stalions acted on his own, blah blah blah. Listen as I've said, I'm willing to bet my salary on Ohio State this year. But I'd be willing to bet my entire fucking life that someone within the walls of that Michigan facility knew what the Navy Seal was doing. And the fact that Harbaugh has high-tailed to the NFL and they've fired other coaches without explaining why makes it so obvious. We've even got other schools firing coaches for their involvement in the scandal.
The fact of the matter is that this will be a Level 1 Violation, they're clearly guilty, and I hope we get a "How Deep It Went" Sports Illustrated cover explaining the whole thing. Do I think we will? No, my prediction is the NCAA sweeps it all under the rug and comes down with a mini hammer instead of the Death Penalty. I think they'll be on probation, get a postseason ban (even though the CFB doesn't give a fuck), and lose scholarships. But to the people saying there's a 0% chance they'll have to vacate anything, let me leave you with this: thank GOD all they did was cheat on the field and impact scores of games and people's lives. Because if they A.) got free tattoos or B.) got paid for work they didn't do, the wins would be coming off the board. The NCAA has just proven they'll do it, even if the entire school didn't know what was going on.
