Name A More Iconic Duo Than White Sox Dave & Me..... You Can't! (Rat Race Spoilers)

Chris Klemmer's Rat Race Chicago came out last Thursday morning and the production is fantastic! We filmed the show in early June and I was actually able to keep my mouth shut about the results for once.

There were 5 teams in the competition.

1) Nick & KB

2) Brandon Walker & Big Cat

3) Eddie & Chief

4) PFT Commenter & Megan Makin' Money

5) White Sox Dave & Me

Going into the race, NO ONE gave White Sox Dave and I a chance to win but we were quietly optimistic because of our long distance running stamina. 

There were 4 total challenges with the last place team in each getting eliminated. We caught a huge break in the first one when Nick Turani's mic broke and he got a late start out of the office causing him & KB to get knocked out. We definitely thought they were one of the favorites going in. 

Right after they got knocked out, I told Dave we were going to win. Brandon Walker & Big Cat did not need the $5000 and Eddie & Chief did not have the endurance with all of the running around Chicago. 

That left PFT & Megan as our main competition and we knew it was going to be a battle to the end.

Eddie & Chief made a wrong turn in the 2nd challenge causing their elimination and the race was down to 3 teams. WSD and I had an ace in the hole as we saved our one Uber for the back end when everyone else burned theirs early.

Thank God we saved it because we had all kinds of problems trying to get to the Michael Jordan statue at the United Center. We took the wrong bus and were stranded for 10 minutes before Dave flagged us a ride to make sure we avoided elimination. We won the challenge too.

Going into the final challenge, we had a huge advantage being able to use our one Uber ride as he hitch hiking did not count towards it. When the clue was for Portillo's, I immediately smelled a trap. There's no way Klemmer was going to end it at Portillo's after we hit famous landmarks such as The Exchequer, JB Pritzker Pavillion & the Michael Jordan Statue at United Center, right?!?!?

We were met by Vibbs in a rat costume at Portillo's and ran upstairs. Then we got news that was music to our ears in the form of an eating competition!! I saw the sheer horror look in Megan's eyes and instantly knew they were cooked! 

Dave & I DEVOURED an italian beef sandwich, hot dog & french fries in under 5 minutes then dead sprinted to the 360 building and an unlikely victory and $5000 win! We ended up beating PFT & Megan by a solid 25 minutes as poor Megan had no shot against that Portillo's spread.

We even busted out the Wayne's World "We Have Got $5000 dollars!" dance to celebrate! 

I want to give a huge shout out to Chris Klemmer, Booz & the Barstool Production team who did an amazing job! Hopefully White Sox Dave & I get a chance to defend our title soon too.
