4-Star Recruit Antonio Coleman Has Flipped To Auburn After Flipping To Alabama After Flipping To Auburn After Flipping From Alabama
Ladies and gentleman, welcome to the New Age of College Football. The way this story goes is that Antonio Coleman is a Top 15 DL in the country according to 247Sports, ranked #100 overall as a player in the Class of 2025. Teams would love to have his services on their campus once he graduates next year, but there's only one problem: he can't decide where he wants to go. Here's his timeline in the past year:
- September 11th, 2023: Commits to Alabama
- December 22nd, 2023: Decommits from Alabama, Flips to Auburn
- March 2nd, 2024: Decommits from Auburn, Flips to Alabama
- July 27th, 2024: Decommits from Alabama, Commits to Auburn
Call him Angel Reese because that's the old fashioned Double-Double. All while still racking up the offers and taking visits to schools like Texas as recent as Thursday. And we've still got an entire school year left! If I was a betting man, I'd say he ends up at Auburn, Alabama, LSU.
And they're not even in his Top 5! But look, I hate to chirp at a kid that hasn't even gotten his 4 high school Math credits yet, but I don't even feel this is an Old Man Yelling at Clouds situation. This is how College Football works nowadays and it absolutely sucks. Why do we think he has flipped back and forth more than a fish out of water? Don't tell me it's because he's torn on where to go between Alabama and Auburn. My brother in Christ, if you're that up in the air, that's why you have another year left. Schools will take the 14th rated Defensive Lineman at literally any time. No, it has to be because Alabama offered this NIL, and then their rival Auburn topped it, so then Alabama said what's it going to take for a flip, and then Auburn said what will it take for the double-double flip. When this is all said and done, Antonio Coleman is going to be the starting Defensive Tackle at UAB and making a million dollars a year!
And again, I hate to knock the guy, but the Auburn fan base can't be excited to see this news, right? He's already came and went enough to show us that with a year remaining, he's more likely than not to do it again. This would be like being a guy's 4th wife and thinking you're the one! My question is this: does Auburn's coaching staff pump their fists in the air when they got this news? Or do they start preparing for who to fill his spot with when he commits to Texas?
