Deshaun Watson Says He "Doesn't Give Two Fucks" Regarding What People Say About Him

So ever since the day the Browns traded their 2022, 2023, and 2024 first-round picks, along with a 2023 third-rounder and fourth-rounder in 2022 and 2024 to be allowed to pay Deshaun Watson $230 million guaranteed dollars, people have been on his ass. Obviously there was the baggage he came to Cleveland with, and the people that won't get passed that will never do so, but he's picked up a few more haters along the way. Specifically because he has played a grand total of 12 games over two seasons, and as I sift back through my memory, I must ask myself: has he even had 1 good game?

Obviously a LITTLE bit of an exaggeration, as beating the Titans 27-3 by going 27 of 33 for 289 yards and 2 TD / INT was solid last year, and he threw 3 TD vs the Commanders the year prior, but overall as a whole, no one can say he's even met expectations, let alone exceeded them. The Browns did go 5-1 last year when he started, but anyone with eyes knows that was in spite of him, not because of him. I mean, Joe Flacco entered and CLEARLY gave us more in terms of a threat at QB.

So yeah, the hate has mounted up, and it's officially put up or shut up time for Deshaun. I still believe in him (I really do, this is the year), but I do think another embarrassingly bad season / failure to make the playoffs could mean the Browns start looking elsewhere from their franchise QB that they quite literally mortgaged the entire future to get. But that hasn't happened yet, and Deshaun has finally taken a stand on all the noise:

Listen I'm going to ride with my QB1 until the wheels fall off (or he's not QB1 anymore), but saying "I don't give two fucks" is exactly what someone who gives a fuck would say. And I'm okay with him reading the comments and listening to the news and hearing the hate. I want him to be motivated to not only prove himself right, but to prove others wrong. People are waiting for him to fail this year, and it's all on him whether that happens or not. You'll all disagree because you're blind but the fact of the matter is the Browns have one of the very best rosters in the NFL.  Genius head coach, elite defense, dangerous skill players, and we're (starting of the year) healthy.

The way I see it, the Browns and Ohio State are in the same boat this season. Both have all the weapons and resources to win it all, and it'll come down to the QB. And I like our chances with Deshaun needing to rise to the level to make us elite.
