First Pitch Perfect: The Journey To The Majors (Step 7: The 4th Try At Independent Ball)

So Marty Mush joined Arian Foster (Padres) and Frank The Tank (Brewers, Diamondbacks) as Barstool Personalities to throw out First Pitches this season. People are tagging me left and right saying I've gotten cucked on this series, but I want to clarify a couple things. First of all, I'm happy for everyone involved. Great moments for each of them and the company as a whole. Plus now these photos can serve as motivation for me to reach my goal one day and join that prestigious club. But second of all, this series was always about working my way to the Majors. Starting in Tee Ball and earning my way to the Pros. And while Marty, Arian, and Frank have gotten to the end goal before me, I'm going to keep running my own race. 

Here's the most recent step, in which I went back to Independent Ball for my FOURTH fucking pitch. And I needed this one badly. Independent Ball goes to the All-Star break this week, and then when they come back, the Illinois teams are all on the road. This was a Must-Strike if there's ever been one. We set it up last minute too, taking the train and an intern because we literally found out this was possible on Sunday morning with a 3 pm game.

BOOOOOOM!!!! Most nervous I'd ever been in my entire life. Liam said the series was cancelled if I didn't throw one. But instead, we're moving on and we're heading to the pros!!! Only 3 steps remain (A, AA, AAA) until we see if the Guardians even care. I couldn't be happier....

.....although it's going to be a tough night on Twitter tonight when Frank The Tank throws out a 1st Pitch as the Cleveland Guardians game and I'm driving up to Beloit, Wisconsin to throw one at the Sky Carps Single-A game.
