Is A Gold Medal Enough Or Do We Need World Domination From Team USA?
Great question posed by Mark Titus of the Mark Titus Show that came out this morning. The United States is -500 to win the Gold Medal, with fucking Canada (who we just disposed of by 15 points while playing without KD and giving everyone equal minutes) as the second most likely to win at +1100. Bottom line: USA is going to win, and while it's fun to win and remind the world that we're better than them, is it enough?
Steph Curry said after the exhibition game that the team's mindset is do whatever it takes to win Gold. Nothing else matters. But with the talent discrepancy in the tournament being so large, shouldn't the United States go out and 20-piece every single country in the tournament? I want them going out with the intentions to hurt.....the other teams feelings.
Other things talked about on the show:
- Steve Kerr needs to change the Starting Lineup (but also, the USA is so much better than everyone else that he really doesn't)
- There are officially 8 teams in the NBA that can win the title next year. (I say 7....the Knicks aren't winning)
- Will Cooper Flagg be as dominate as Zion was his freshman year at Duke? How hard with the tank be to Capture the Flagg?
- Summer League starts TODAY!
New Mark Titus Show is out now.
