Horns Down Will NOT Be In The New College Football Video Game Because EA Sports Is Including Positive Hand Signals Only

So it's been blogged about 3 different ways this afternoon, but I want to set the tone for this blog with the Sights and Sounds trailer that dropped this morning for the new College Football 25 video game. I think the general consesus is that this video game is going to be fucking awesome, and the highlight reel from earlier that described the atmospheres and traditions and general culture surrounding the sport we all love does nothing but further increase the hype for the release date. But unfortunately, we finally have our first piece of bad news:

Damn, that actually sucks. And now I'm going to pause in the blog real quick to give insight to any of our readers that may need a visual on what Horns Down looks like.

Now we carry on. And it appears like EA Sports is taking the high school athletic director's route of only allowing POSITIVE CHEERING ONLY.  No airball or start the busses chants, but as many go team gos and De-fense cheers as your pretty little heart desires. Here's what appears to be included (but not limited to) for celebrations in the game:

Don't get me wrong, this feature will be VERY COOLl, but could you imagine Oklahoma scoring on Texas and dropping the Horns Down? Or even better, Ole Miss scoring in the Egg Bowl and peeing on the Bulldogs?

Or maybe even when you get ejected from the Ohio State vs. Michigan game, you could leave in style like Marcus Hall did?

I guess it makes sense why they can't include these types of things, one because you gotta draw the line somewhere and two it will only promote the need for more negative celebrations in real life…..but man that would make this game fun.

Side Note: Do we think Texas has anything to do with Horns Down being excluded? I say Yes.
