SOCCER FIGHTTTTTT!!!

TBL – The Tel Aviv derby between Hapoel and Maccabi was marred by violence on Monday after a shirtless fan ran onto the field and attacked Eran Zahavi, who had scored an equalizer for Maccabi from the penalty spot earlier in the match. Zahavi, an Israel international, formerly played for HHapoel manager Eyal Berkovic, who played for Southampton, West Ham, Celtic, Blackburn, Manchester City and Portsmouth, said: “This was not a game of football, it was war. “I’m stunned and ashamed to be involved in football on a day like today. “Both clubs and both sets of supporters must be severely punished for what happened here.”apoel and was sent off by the referee. From there the match turned into chaos as fans from both sides ran onto the field. It was subsequently abandoned at halftime. Tel Aviv police confirmed that 10 people had been arrested which prompted further brawling outside a city courthouse on Tuesday. Video footage showed the fans flailing wildly on the street and hitting each other with belts and sticks for several minutes.

Soccer fights, they happen. I get it. People get mad, shirtless fans run onto the field, shit goes down. But my favorite part has to be this part: “HHapoel manager Eyal Berkovic, who played for Southampton, West Ham, Celtic, Blackburn, Manchester City and Portsmouth, said: “This was not a game of football, it was war.” Bro! You are coaching in Israel! Calling a soccer fight a war is like calling me a pulitzer-prize winning writer with a reasonable sized head and an adult speaking voice.

And what’s up with the Jew-on-Jew violence? Come on guys, get ahold of yourselves. But I guess that’s the soccer life. Even though the Jews are supposed to stick together, all that shit ends when it comes to soccer. Even Zohan himself would have been doing superman punches and mule kicks if he was there.

And speaking of, it’s kind of cool the cultural differences of how they fight vs how we fight. There, kicking is allowed. Shit, it’s encouraged. Here, if you kick, you’re a bitch.

PS: Here’s a street fight that happened after the soccer fight. Sticks and kicks, that’s how they roll in Jewadelphia.
