Urban Meyer Says This Year's Ohio State Team Might Have The Most Talented Roster OF ALL TIME
** I'm sorry, I'm sorry. There will be a time and place, I promise. But the time right now is to go out and have a glass of wine in the middle of the work day continue to do my job. Urban Meyer had a ridiculously high praising / high expectation setting quote that I just saw online, and I need to get this one up.
Let's begin this blog with a universal truth, getting everyone on the same page: Urban Meyer knows football. His reputation precedes himself, but I'll still remind you that he's 187-32 as a Head Football Coach in college, winning 3 National Championships, going 12-3 in Bowl Games, and being 7-0 against Michigan while coaching at Ohio State. The dude knows ball. So let's not take it lightly when he makes a statement like this.
Most talented roster in the last decade????? Let me remind you of the 2017 Alabama Crimson Tide:
Jalen Hurts
Tua Tagovailoa
Mac Jones
Josh Jacobs
Najee Harris
Calvin Ridley
Jerry Judy
DeVonta Smith
Henry Ruggs
Minka Fitzpatrick
Trevon Diggs
Jonah Williams
Jedrick Wills
Alex Leatherwood
Da’Ron Payne
Quininen Williams
^ And Urban Meyer says Ohio State is better than this team?? Not only did he say that, he said it might be the most talented roster of ALL-TIME! Look I'm not 50 years old so I can't talk about 1986 or anything, but the 2001 Miami Hurricanes didn't have a bad team either:
Clinton Portis
Frank Gore
Najeh Davenport
Willis McGahee
Ken Dorsey
Andre Johnson
Kellen Winslow Jr
Vince Wilfork
Jonathan Vilma
Phillip Buchanon
Ed Reed
Antrel Rolle
Jeremy Shockey
^ And Urban Meyer says Ohio State is better than this team? Folks, it's officially No Excuses time in Columbus. I mean, I've been on record saying it's beat Michigan or be fired the next day this year for Ryan Day. We spent a billion dollars this year on our Coaching Staff, bring in 3 QBs, the best RB in the portal, keeping our entire defense, etc etc etc. I've already declared us Transfer Portal Champions....
….but now I am declaring us MUST BECOME NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.
* I do think there's a small chance here that Urban constantly hypes up the Buckeyes because the more he does that (if we lose), the more and more the good people of Ohio beg for him to come back. He should probably chill with saying things like Best Roster of All-Time in fucking June? Couldn't be me.
