Kevin Holland Snaps Michal Oleksiejczuk's Arm Backwards For The Win

Some things in MMA will make me cringe no matter how many times I see em - an armbar that bends the elbow backwards is one of those things. You're just waiting for a snap/crackle/pop and hoping you don't see a bone splinter through skin.

Giphy Images.

I'm just glad Kevin Holland is back in the win column, though; his last couple fights were frustrating losses and this was a much more true-to-form performance. He came in ready to scrap (much less gun shy than before), got dropped early, and still found a submission! It was classic Big Mouth.

Michal Oleksiejczuk was a tough son of a bitch ready to just deal with a flabby arm, but Herb Dean called the fight before too much damage could be done, and I think that was the right move. I don't know why you'd risk getting your arm snapped in two when you're in a position like that. Holland actually said he heard it snap the second he applied it, so Oleksiejczuk must have been in agony for a while. What a gritty motherfucker.

UFC 302 hasn't been the most exciting card tonight, to be honest, but I'm hoping this co-main and main event turn things around.

Side note: They just dropped a new trailer for McGregor vs Chandler that is AWESOME….

Oh, and P.S. - I just stood in line for the bathroom with Aaron Rodgers and The Situation. I didn't say anything to them, but what a trio we were for a minute there.
