Negotiation Masterclass: Dak Prescott Claims He Doesn't Play Football For Money, A Year Before He Is Due For A Massive Contract

This right here is how you start the negotiation when you're due for a massive contract. Because guess what? This quote will be played for the entire year, especially once the Cowboys choke in a pivotal game again. Now, if I'm Jerry Jones I dare Dak to live up to this claim. Sign him for the vet minimum and spend the millions on other people. But come on, if you don't play football for money, you sure as shit aren't playing to win titles with the Cowboys, what are you playing for? To get hit? No thank you.

I know everything that Dak has to deal with, welcome to being the starting quarterback for the Cowboys. You're talked about basically more than anyone else in the sport. But you can't be out here saying money doesn't matter. Gotta say something a little more open than that. Hey, whatever we agree to is something that I'm going to be happy with, who knows. Leave it open to the imagination, especially this offseason when a guy like Jared Goff got paid.

I do wish we saw the live reaction from his agent when this came out. There's no one more pissed off in the world than his agent seeing these headlines. But, come on, everyone plays professional sports for the money. Yeah, love of the game and being a physical freak are reasons. But you don't dream of being a pro athlete without the dream of having unlimited money. Being rich seems awesome, I'd like to experience that one day. But if he's not going to play for money, go ring chase because that sure as shit isn't happening in Dallas. Good luck negotiating with Jerry because you know he printed this out. No doubt in my mind Jerry still uses a printer.
