The Indiana Pacers Submitting A Complaint About SEVENTY EIGHT Calls In Games 1 And 2 Against The Knicks Is LOL Funny

ESPN- The Indiana Pacers have submitted 78 plays to the NBA that they felt were called incorrectly against them during Games 1 and 2 against the New York Knicks, a league source told ESPN. Pacers coach Rick Carlisle, speaking after Indiana fell behind 2-0 in the Eastern Conference semifinals with a 130-121 loss to New York on Wednesday, said the team had identified 29 questionable calls from Game 1. The source said the Pacers identified 49 such plays from Game 2 and submitted them

Carlisle said they had decided not to send the Game 1 calls to the league office for review but reversed that decision after Game 2 had similar officiating issues from their perspective. As part of NBA protocol, the clips will also be shared with the Knicks.

"I can promise you that we're going to submit these tonight," Carlisle said after being ejected in the final minute when he was given two technical fouls. "New York can get ready. They'll see 'em too. I'm always talking to our guys about not making it about the officials, but we deserve a fair shot."

A frustrated Carlisle also implied the Pacers were being penalized by officials because they were playing against the league's largest market. "Small-market teams deserve an equal shot," Carlisle said. "They deserve a fair shot no matter where they're playing."

Is Crying Ricky Carslisle serious right now? Like I said on yesterday's Rundown, I completely understand being upset losing a playoff game after a phantom kick ball and a moving screen call that is not usually called during the last two minutes both went against you. I'd be stomping the ground and throwing a fit like a kid that just lost video games for the night as well.

Since it went in my team's favor, I gladly took it as some home cooking during a playoff gme while also acknowledging it was the Basketball Gods making things right after Reggie Miller got away with a no call when he assaulted Greg Anthony in broad daylight in midtown during his infamous 8 points in 9 seconds game.

Trigger Warning For Knicks Fans:

But submitting an additional FORTY NINE plays from Game 2 that didn't have anywhere near a Tim Donaghy-level of officiating is outrageous. Did the Pacers just click Select All and submit every foul from Game 2 in their complaint? My kids pull the same shit when I tell them to circle what they want for Christmas in the Amazon Gift Book.

You know what that leads to? Me ignoring everything they said and throwing out their "list".

Maybe Crying Ricky thinks complaining about the refs and making them do a bunch of extra paperwork will help his team. But I have a couple of cop buddies that say this is probably not the way to go about things when it comes to dealing with people in charge of the rules.

I doubt we will ever hear the NBA's response to these complaints. Despite that, I am BEGGING the Knicks to release the video of Tom Thibodeau's reaction to all 78 complaints, which I imagine will look like this.

Also everyone complaining about the NBA helping out the Knicks because they play in New York can fuck all the way off considering they haven't moved up in a lottery since Patrick Ewing almost 30 years ago, nobody has tried to figure out a way to impeach their clown shoe owner who is a habitually line stepper, and all this shit from the last few months.

Whatever. Time for the handful of Knicks without serious injuries to suit up for battle on Friday night since it will be exactly that. Hopefully TJ McConnell didn't file any complaints to his coach for why he wasn't in the game during crunch time since that felt like a much bigger reason why the Pacers lost than anything the refs did or didn't do. Don't take my word for it as a biased Knicks fan. Take Vibbs' word as a furious Pacers fan!

Obligatory shout out to the King of New York getting the job done once again, this time on a bum wheel. What a fucking star.
