LSU's Sydney Berzon Threw a 14-INNING, 208-PITCH Complete Game at the SEC Softball Tournament

I'm sorry, she did what now?

I am admittedly not the biggest ball knower when it comes to softball, but if you had asked me what the maximum number of pitches someone could throw before their arm fell off, I'd have guessed maybe 140. Sydney Berzon stayed out there for 14 innings and 208 pitches and then hopped on the SEC Network desk and said she could pitch again the next day if LSU needed her. I can't believe that's even possible, but shoutout to Sydney for being ready to take the rubber whenever she's called upon.

The Tigers ended up winning the game, but Sydney had every right to be dog cussing her teammates in the dugout every time they were up at the plate. LSU scored two runs in the first 13 innings before finally scratching a third across in the 14th to end the game. If I had thrown 208 pitches over 14 innings while allowing only two runs and my team still hadn't won the game, I'd be inventing new cuss words to call my teammates.

All's well that ends well, though. Some of these MLB guys who couldn't pitch into the sixth inning if their life depended on it could learn a thing or two from Sydney.
