Charles Barkley Talking About 'Inside The NBA' Potentially Ending Because Of TV Rights Is So Goddamn Sad

I don't want to have this sort of juju out here on a Friday, but if I listened to it, so do you. It's sad. Inside the NBA is the best show on television. It has it all, comedy, fighting, making up, sometimes basketball insight. You never know what you're going to get. But it's the perfect mix of Ernie trying to hold everyone together as Charles, Shaq and Kenny are ready to fight each other at some point.

Now we might lose this. We might lose this because of TV rights. They say we should find out today if Turner is going to lose the NBA. Chuck also says he'll be a free agent but Ernie is staying with Turner. That means no more Inside the NBA. Sure, they can try to keep some of the guys together, but it's not the same show. It's Ernie being the glue here. He's like a father who knows he can't do anything to stop what's going on, he's just trying to get to the final destination.

Feel like there needs to be another deal in place if Turner loses the NBA that Inside the NBA stays together. They don't need the actual game to have the show. Shit, we'd all still watch it during pregame and postgame. It's not about the actual basketball, it's about the personalities and seeing if Shaq finally snaps and fights Charles Barkley. That's what we're watching for. We're watching for Kenny to try and be serious while Shaq and Chuck team up together to make fun of him. It's about the race to the board. That's what we don't want to lose.

This is the comfort zone though. We've all said it before, there's comfort TV. Something you can throw on, zone out a little and just feel like it's normal. That's what this show is for basketball fans. It has the right mix of it all. Do the right thing and keep the gang together. America wants them to stay together.
