Chris Brown Allegedly Pulled an All-Time Petty Move and Purchased All The Tickets to Quavo's Concert in Bridgeport, Connecticut and He Performed in Front of Almost Noobdy

TMZ - Quavo's recent concert's getting attention online ... 'cause the crowd looks pretty small compared to the venue -- and, tons of people are convinced it's Chris Brown's doing.

Video from Quavo's concert in Bridgeport, Connecticut is floating around social media ... seemingly showing a damn-near empty venue looking more like a gig for a small-time artist than a former member of Migos.

Saturday night Quavo concert in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Quavo is on stage. He's rapping his ass off. But the arena is nearly empty. Pretty hilarious scene if you ask me.

Has Quavo fallen off that hard? Is that seriously all the tickets he can sell in 2024? I know he's not what he used to be but damn... If so, that's a tough scene. But people seem think it's deeper than that. People seem to think this is a classic case of sabotage. Sabotage at the hands of none other than pop/rap superstar, and model citizen Chris Brown.

The crowd in the pit's pressed up close to the stage … with people in back of the clot no more than 10 or 15 rows removed from the artist.

It's a pretty bizarre scene, ya gotta say and Quavo handles it with grace … putting on a pretty spectacular show for the lackluster audience. But, the tiny crowd has people online theorizing Chris Brown may have pulled one over on Q.

Folks online are pushing the conspiracy theory Brown bought a ton of the tickets for the show so Quavo would perform to a pretty much empty concert hall -- basically as a way to embarrass his nemesis.

I was completely unaware that Quavo and Chris Brown had themselves beef. It's certainly not shocking. Chris Brown seems like a man who has beef spread out across the entire music industry. Everybody knows he's a bad hombre. Considering his assaulting of Rihanna, things of that nature. But somehow, throughout all of his bullshit, he's somehow managed to not get himself entirely cancelled. It's another classic case of talent trumping all. R. Kelly can do all the terrible shit in the world, but like… have you heard I Believe I Can Fly? The Ignition (Remix)? It's a fucked up world we live in. But at least he's finally in prison.

I looked into this alleged beef. It originates from back in 2017 when Quavo allegedly dated Chris Browns ex-girlfriend, "American socialite and actress" Karrueche Tran. Yes I have pictures.

I understand why someone may get a bit jealous over her. Especially a man as certifiably unhinged as Chris Brown. Chris Brown and Karrueche dated for nearly 5 years. A relationship that naturally ended up in Karrueche filing a restraining order against Chris Brown. Which is how I assume all Chris Brown relationships end. Following their relationship, she had some sort of fling with Quavo, which of course left Chris Brown feeling how you might think Chris Brown would feel (pissed off).

But years late, Chris Brown got his revenge by sleeping with Quavo's girlfriend, the musical artist Saweetie. This is all alleged, but it seems as is Quavo and Saweetie were still dating when this went down. Yes I have pictures.

The two rappers have been going back and forth with diss tracks ever since. The most recent one dropped by Chris Brown late last year.

“Okay, now fckin’ my old btches ain’t gon’ make us equal/ Sippin’ that 1942 ’cause I don’t do no Cuervo (Quavo)/ Freak btch, she like Casamigos, not the Migos,”

In another Chris Brown songs he raps:

"You fcked my ex-ho, that's cool, I don't give no fck, lil na/'Cause I fcked yo' ex when you were still with her, btch, I'm up, lil na,"

Quavo at one time responded with:

"Little btch come battle with my drac/ You been f*cked your bag up when you punched Rih in the face.”

So the two hate each other. Zero words have been minced. Just wanted to lay the groundwork and give a little background there. I'm learning this for the first time as well. Here's the full article detailing the beef if you're interested in reading it for yourself.

A good portion of Twitter insists on the fact that this was all the doing of a salty Chris Brown. That Chris Brown went out of his way to purchase nearly all of the tickets to Quavo's concert in an effort to embarrass him. To make him perform in front of nobody.

But I'm not so sure that's true. Isn't that what Quavo would want you to think? Is it possible that Quavo isn't the rap sensation he once was? Is it possible that the state of Connecticut just doesn't give a single fuck about a solo Quavo performance? That seems more likely to me. Much of Twitter believes this as well.

My gut reaction was to tip my cap to Chris Brown. I typically love myself a petty move. Especially in the context off all this seemingly real rap beef (it at least seemingly a lot more real than the Drake, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar crap). But if Chris Brown really did that, why the fuck would Quavo care? He's still getting paid. Chris Brown is out thousands of dollars. Quavo gets to perform a nice easy concert. And I think the fans would like it? They get to be up close and personal with Quavo in a fairly intimate setting. That's usually awesome. Like if Zach Bryan just popped in at a Nashville bar you just so happened to be at, that would be the experience of a lifetime.

However, I'm not sure if it's like that for rap concerts. Rap concerts are supposed to be parties. I'm not even sure if you really want to hear the rapper sing himself. You want to hear him a little bit. Like, you want to know he's singing. But you also want it accompanied by loud music, sick beats, and a rowdy scene. Rap music is so overly produced nowadays. Getting too up close and personal with Quavo might be like seeing a beautiful woman without makeup on for the very first time. Maybe that was all part of Chris Brown's plan. Maybe Quavo having to perform for that few people really is as embarrassing as people are making it out to be.

Gun to my head I think Quavo just can't sell tickets in Connecticut. That wouldn't be the most shocking thing in the world. I feel like I haven't heard Quavo's name nearly as much in recent years. Maybe he just doesn't have it anymore. Maybe Quavo lost his fastball as the kids would say. 50 Cent responded to the incident, and he doesn't seem to buy the conspiracy either. Despite the fact that 50 Cent did the exact same thing to Ja Rule in a rap beef of their own.

Unilad - Discussing his undeniably petty stunt, the rapper said on Watch What Happens Live the following year: "I just happened to see [the tickets], they were right there for you to buy, and I was like, 'they was so cheap, I might as well just buy them'.

Classic rap beef. Never really know if it's real or fake. But nowadays it all seems pretty fake.
