Knicks Drop A Deuce On The Sixers In Game 1 And The Streets Outside MSG Are Pure Mayhem Once Again

Well that was fun...and by fun I mean an emotional rollercoaster that I flat out wasn't ready for. This Knicks team has been the best Knicks team I've watched since the 90s. But they didn't get to that point with Deuce being our best player, Bogie carrying the offense for a spurt, and Josh Hart hitting the biggest threes of the game. Then again, one look at the box score shows how schizo this game was quarter by quarter.

I don't know what caused Jalen Brunson to struggle so much outside of the amount of length the Sixers threw at him, but I have no choice but to believe he will adjust by Game 2 because the thought of him playing like this again is flat out horrifying. Let's all rewatch that Breen Bang one night to flip the vibes.

I fully realize that the Sixers were entering this series with a banged up Joel Embiid, just like they ended this game with an even more banged up Joel Embiid thanks to a casual self alley-oop dunk. But I'm not going to apologize for my team winning a hard fought playoff game at home, especially with the amount of slander directed toward said team that just so happens to be missing a player that has made All-NBA two of the last three seasons. I also can't fathom what it would be like guarding Tyrese Maxey with a healthy JoJo considering Maxey pretty much had his own layup line with a banged up Embiid.

What I can do is enjoy the beautiful sound of Playoff MSG being back in my life along with the postgame street parties that turns an avenue in the capital of the world briefly into a small-time college town after an NCAA Tournament win.

Fucking awesome. Keep it coming and see you all Monday night for Game 2!
