The Flyers needed to win in regulation. The Caps needed to simply win. But the Flyers couldn't go to OT, so with a tie game, they had to pull the goalie, which the Caps capitalized on when Oshie put it in the empty net

And that's all she wrote baby!

The 3rd period was a mind fuck. The Caps legs were DEAD. Couldn't skate. But they continuously kept the Flyers off the board, so the Flyers had to pull the goalie early. It was a game of cat and mouse the entire period and gave me a heart attack in the process.

I get Red Wings fans being pissed. But it shouldn't be at the Caps. The Wings lost to the Caps 2-1 on April 9th. Tonight the Caps simply handled business. The Wings will be fine- good, young team. And I'd like to invite all Wings fans to JOIN THE BANDWAGON BABY

I love them but the Chiclets boys were rooting SO HARD against the Caps, man. Golly. But Biz hates the Rangers, so he's one of the good guys now!

And the goal differential thing…yes…it is hilarious. -37. I'll say this though- Chuckie is a +6. Darcy is the reason for the -37. Gotta look deeper into the stats than what meets the eye. Lindgren is absolutely unbelievable and will get Vezina votes. A brick wall in net and makes more miraculous, game-saving saves than anyone I've seen since Hasek.
