Top 10 Tuesday: Best WNBA Draft Looks From Last Night's STACKED Class
Uhhh, yes they were. I think the entire world collectively learned at the same time last night how bad women's basketball players are. And I'm not talking about the hundreds of missed layups and thousands of jump balls. I'm talking about the fact that these ladies showed up and showed out last night. Here's my Top 10 looks from the red carpet:
10. Aaliyah Edwards - UConn
Love the all white, but let's talk about that little toy basketball she's carrying around. That's not just any old Christmas ornament she's got in her hands....that's a $5000 clutch from Judith Lieberman Couture.
9. Dyaisha Fair - Syracuse
To be clear.....this is not my cup of tea on a women. Thought about making a Lil Bow Wow joke but I'm not. However I did wear this outfit to my Senior Prom back in 2011, so I had to toss it in the rankings.
8. Elizabeth Kitley - Virginia Tech
I gotta shout out the girl with the torn ACL that matched her cast with her dress and pulled it off very well.
7. Caitlin Clark - Iowa
Let's address the elephant in the room.....she looked good. #1 pick, all ball, figured she might show up in a sweatsuit. Nope, she become the first person to ever rock all Prada to the draft.
6. Kamilla Cardoso - South Carolina
I don't know how to dress when you're 6 foot 7, let alone a women, but I love the power red suit from the National Champion. Welcome to Chicago, Kamilla!
5. Jacy Sheldon - Ohio State
Simple, professional, clean. Wedding date dress. Prom date dress. WNBA draft dress. Go Bucks.
4. Celeste Taylor - Ohio State
UNDERRATED. And I'm not talking about her basketball game. 9x out of 10 she's going #1 in these rankings but we the big dogs came to play last night, and the Top 3 is simply indisputable.
3. Nika Mull - UConn
I know. 2 and 3 are interchangeable. Nicky Smokes said he'd trade 4 first round picks to move up and snag Nika, and I've got her at 3. Love the belly button ring. You're free to make your own rankings and put her at 2 if you want.
2. Angel Reese - LSU
Never seen the hooded / bedazzled dress before but I think we're about to see a whole lot more of them. No matter what you think about Angel Reese's antics on or off the court, you can't deny that she is baaaaaaad.
1. Cameron Brink - Stanford
A more unanimous 1st overall pick here than Caitlin Clark in the actual draft and she was like -10000000 to go first overall. God clearly spent a little extra time on her, and as for those legs, Kayce said it best:
Excited to watch these ladies play some ball!!
