Kayla Harrison STEAMROLLS Holly Holm In Her UFC Debut

Well that was easy! Almost flawless, even!

Kayla Harrison just followed the Michael Chandler playbook for her highly anticipated UFC debut and steamrolled right through Holly Holm on the way to her first UFC title shot!

I honestly thought Holly was gonna give Kayla a little trouble tonight, despite the super wide odds on this fight, just because she obviously has all of the tools to defeat an elite judoka (and Harrison is coming off a loss) - but not this elite judoka, clearly.

In the first round, Holm weirdly clinched with Harrison, and was promptly taken down….because uh, she tried to clinch with a 2x Olympic Gold Medalist. She impressively reversed the position and wound up on top, but that only lasted for a second before Kayla got back on top and started pouring ground-and-pound shots down. This lasted for a few minutes. Holm was then taken down again at the beginning of the second round and it wasn't long afterwards that Harrison got the submission….just like I taught her!

Alright, it wasn't an armbar - so maybe I didn't teach her that. I'm still gonna take some credit. I trained with her once (and sprained my A/C joint in the process) sooo I'm basically a teammate….

If I'm UFC Bantamweight Champ Raquel Pennington right now, I'm shaking in my boots. The Boogeywoman is coming…and she's allowed to throw elbows now. That's a scary thought.
