Ice Spice Has Been Cast In Spike Lee's New Kurosawa Adaptation Starring Denzel Washington

Lets get something clear right off the bat: I don't have high hopes for this movie. If you ask me, Spike Lee should have been banned from remaking iconic Asian movies after he BUTCHERED Oldboy, one of the best Korean movies ever made. He's an incredible director & Washington is a legendary actor but Lee had his shot and ruined it back in 2013. In fact, he is at the very top of my banned list.

As for this casting? Yea, why not. She's one of the hottest stars in rap right now and not many music genres have pumped out better movie performances. Will Smith, Ice Cube, Eminem, Ice-T, Tupac, Andre 3000 + more and thats in starring roles. I'd imagine this is more of a small, supporting role like Cardi B had in 'Hustlers'. It gets more people to want to see the movie & who knows, maybe she's a solid actress too. 

As hesitant as I am to get excited for this, Spike Lee really is an incredible director and I HOPE this remake manages to do the original justice.
