The Future Is Now - The Baltimore Orioles Are Promoting #1 Overall Prospect Jackson Holliday To The Big Leagues And All Of You Are Now In VERY Big Trouble
There it is folks, the news that every Baltimore Orioles fan has been waiting for.....Jackson Holliday is being promoted to the big league club. Your 2024 Rookie of the Year is finally here and not a day too soon. He should have been up on Opening Day, he should have been running down the Orange Carpet that day but nonetheless, he is risen.
All Jackson has done in AAA is rake, like absolutely rake. He was the #1 ranked prospect and played like it all throughout his young season, slashed .342/.490/.605 with two bombs, four doubles, a stolen base and a handful of fantastic defensive plays. This is now all systems go for Baltimore. We've seen how electric Fernando Tatis Jr. is, we've seen how electric Elly de la Cruz can be, Jackson Holliday is in that class as well. He legit has a chance to be an All-Star this year. He has the chance to be as good as Adley and Gunnar. This team is absolutely stacked with pure, raw talent. He's going to have protection in the lineup, he's going to get pitches to hit, they can't pitch around him and that is very bad for pitchers. Usually a #1 guy comes up and gets shoved right in the front of a lineup and they pitch around him. Not in Baltimore.
I'm fired the fuck up man, you add Jackson to a lineup with Adley, Gunnar, Santander, Cowser, Mountcastle and the rest of the guys, this team is already very good but man did they just get better. I do believe that Mike Elias and co wanted to see more from Jackson and well, they saw it. Either that or they decided they couldn't stand to watch Tony Kemp and Ramon Urias get at-bats over the top prospect at 2nd base. It's past time for him. Now he's here and we can fully go. This team is absolutely rounding into shape with their roster construction and it's only getting better. They went out and traded for Corbin Burnes after winning 101 games, they won the division last year, and now they're adding the #1 overall prospect and have more guys ready to go when their number is called.
This is such an exciting time to be an Orioles fan, we are entering a very special time for these Birds. All he's done is get better every step of the way, improves as the competition gets better and there is no reason to believe he'll struggle when he comes up to the bigs. And to make it even better, they can still get the extra draft pick if he wins ROY. Everything coming up Orioles right now.
