Stephen A. Smith Exposes Himself For the Fake Knicks Fan That He Is By Praising a Player The Team Traded Away Two Months Ago - Attempts To Spinzone His Way Out Of It To No Avail

It's that time of the year folks. That special moment where Stephen A. Smith dives into one of his "fandoms" and tries to talk ball like he's been living and dying with every second of the season. Today's version involves the New York Knicks, who currently find themselves 46-32 and the 4 seed in the East, with the 2 seed completely in sight. Their win on the road in Milwaukee the other night caused SAS to praise the squad, namely Quentin Grimes and reserve Isaiah Hartenstein.

Now something that might fire off an immediate red flag may be his mention of Quentin Grimes. Not only is Grimes out for the season, but he was also traded to the Pistons TWO MONTHS AGO.

If there's one thing you have to admire about Stephen A. Smith, it's his relentless confidence. I suppose that's why ESPN still pays him millions of dollars to do his thing. To go on your YouTube show and talk about your supposed favorite team while you praise a player who is not only no longer on the team, but also out for the year is so impressive. Not a second's of hesitation in his brain thinking he might be wrong there. Grimes has been the catalyst, only those who know ball understand that.

Then there's the credit given to RESERVE Isaiah Hartenstein, a gentleman who has started since December and been a force for the Knicks in their front court. Not to mention the butchering of the pronunciation on the last name. This part actually bothered more than Grimes.

Well, a day later Stephen A saw the noise coming his way, aka his producer probably alerted him that his fans and haters alike banded together to shit on him for being a notorious fake Knicks fan. Here was his spin-zone.

I'm sorry but there's no way you could be following this team and mistake Grimes for McBride. Zero shot. If it was just that mistake though I could let it slide. Following that up by calling Hartenstein a reserve and treating him like this unknown dude who showed up in the Bucks game is where you lose the benefit of the doubt. Let me guess, you meant to say Josh Hart? Well, he's also been starting all year. Wonder if he thinks Melo is still on the roster.

Crazy that the producers of his show let that go without a care in the world. When I saw the clip initially I assumed it was from last year or there was some funny business afoot. Nope, it's on his YouTube channel as we speak from the other day. Fake Knicks fan Stephen A, can't wait for him to be screaming during the postseason that the Knicks are losing at half time and that things haven't changed. Only to be dethroned by fake Yankees fan Stephen A who we'll see in the fall.

For the record, I don't really care about bandwagon fans. They're a big part of sports. I admittedly do this with the New York Rangers around this time every year. I only have time to watch so many sports every night. Just don't try and sell me something you're not. You don't watch the team religiously, so don't piss on my head and tell me it's raining. We're not that stupid.

Speaking of Isaiah Hartenstein, shout out to his wife Kourtney. Whatever you're doing for the big man at home, don't change a thing. We appreciate you.
