Please Use Your Brains- Nobody In The Commanders Front Office Is Leaking Anything To Colin Cowherd Or Any Of Those Random Aggregator Accounts

It's lying season. That's what it's called. When everyone with a microphone makes things up to try to and move the needle. Well, at least it used to be called "lying", now it's called "anonymous sources". But people need to sit back and take a breather and remember this- nobody in Adam Peters front office is leaking anything to Colin Cowherd. Yes, front office leaks do happen to try and gain an advantage in the draft. Yes, agents and GMs conspire, or go to war, in order to play mind games with who is going where. It happens every year. But this year with our Commies having the number 2 pick, it's been comical. Beyond comical. And today I decided to type some words about it because my god, who is believing this shit???

Every single day a different random Twitter account- usually one of those fake "aggregator accounts", makes up something new they are hearing about who the Commies like at number 2. Some people say their sources are telling them Drake Maye. Other fake accounts with bought blue checkmarks claim it's Jayden Daniels. And then sprinkled in the middle are the "they are really high on JJ McCarthy" reports. But guess what? It's all fake! All of it! Nobody knows anything!

I swear man, I can't believe people believe this stuff. There are people who truly believe Adam Peters is in Colin Cowherd's ear? C'mon. Let's be serious. Let's use our brains. 

Now, I could get into conspiracy theories (shout out Dante) that agents could be paying Colin to say this stuff, for whatever reason. But even that doesn't make sense. But that's plausible at least. 

Weirdly, I haven't really voiced a strong opinion on who I want at number. And the reason is because I'm not naive enough to think I truly know who will pan out between Maye or Daniels. I think ANYONE who claims they know who will have a better career between Maye or Daniels is a liar. Again, use your brains- GMs and scouts spend years watching prospects and then take Mitch Trubisky at 2 while Mahomes is taken at 10. It's legit impossible to predict who will pan out in the NFL, and that is multiplied by 100 at the QB position. 

I see on Commies Twitter every day people clamoring for Maye or Daniels, claiming their guy is better. Look, I get everyone having a favorite, but let's not fall in love too deep with one guy over the other. I put 100% of my faith in Adam Peters and his staff and will ride or die with whoever they pick. It's a very imperfect science, sometimes like flipping a coin. We will have either Maye or Daniels and then it's in the Football Gods hands whatever happens next. Maybe both are great! Maybe both are busts! Maybe we get the next Joe Montana! Nobody knows and it's silly to think otherwise.

All in all, I'm just excited to have a new QB to root for. Whoever it is, god damn do I need him to be great. And if he's not, we'll do this whole thing again in a couple years, over and over again, on loop, until one day a QB in Washington pans out. Let's just hope it's this one 🙏🙏
