Ew. Ew to the max. See, this is what happens. You start tempting the Baseball Gods with all-time ugly ass uniforms and they respond almost immediately by trying to shake that shit right off. I get the yellow-ish themed colors have for some reason been associated with Philly since forever. Hell, they're so abhorrently disgusting it's probably the only reason Kevin Curtis is randomly named dropped almost two decades later.
But you try to roll these damn things out for a 2-4 team that's coming off of one of the most disappointing ending to a season in sports history and the Almighty must intervein. Fair is fair and right is right. Thank goodness it was only a 4.8 on the scale and centered in Jersey. If these ugly's were forced on us during the Ryne Sandberg years the Gods might have simply shown mercy by shaking the entire Delaware Valley clean off the map.
