Top 10 Tuesday: College Football Helmets

Alrighty so obviously I had a little impromptu trip to Cleveland the last 5 days with nothing but what I brought to work on Friday (book bag, jacket, hat, clothes on my back). No charger for the phone or computer was a problem....obviously I bought new of both....but the point remains: I didn't have many resources. I apologize for the no Grading The Blog this week, and although I still did rattle off 7 blogs from the road, it's time for me to get back to what I was hired to do. 

...and then I went right from the airport to the office this afternoon, only to be in the test subject group for tomorrow's Mini Golf. Sheesh, I'm thrilled to be a part of this, but now it's late afternoon on a Tuesday and I need to get to work!

So yeah, I'm doing a Top 10. And since I didn't tweet out a topic for this week, I'm going with something simple, yet relevant, so I can get something out. 247 just named Ohio State the Best Helmet in College Football. So here's MY rankings:

10. Wisconsin

9. Florida

Move this helmet to wherever you want in September, but there is NOTHING better than an Ohio State helmet full of Buckeye leaves late in November. 

Notable Omissions:

- Penn State - How many basic, plain helmets can make a Top 10? Yes, I like the classics. But I already have Bama and Notre Dame….I'm out on Penn State.

- Oregon: Too many options. Can't pinpoint one option anymore when they change every two seconds.

- LSU: Incredible colors, incredible gear, but I don't think their helmets are overly sweet?

- Iowa / Michigan State: I think these two Big Ten helmets are extremely underrated. Big, solid logos on good colors.

- North Carolina: Great colors, good logo, but I just can't get past the basketball aspect of the school.
