Idiot National Guardsman Defects To Russia And -In A Hugely Moronic Decision- Formally Joins Their Army

Former Holyoke City Councilor Wilmer Puello-Mota has reportedly defected to Russia and is now living in Moscow, where he works for the Russian Defense Ministry, according to his Facebook profile.
The Facebook page of "Will Puello," now features a photo of the Kremlin in the Russian capital and a picture of Puello-Mota in full military gear while operating a drone.
The 28-year-old represented Holyoke's District 2 when he was arrested in September 2020 in Warwick, Rhode Island, and charged with possession of child pornography. The 17-year-old victim said that Puello-Mota, who was 24 at the time, had sent her money via Venmo for sexually explicit photos though he knew she was underage.
The former city councilor was scheduled to appear in court on January 9, 2024, but two days earlier, he boarded a flight to Istanbul, Turkey. In a March court filing, the Rhode Island Attorney General acknowledged that Puello Mota had either fled the country and joined the Russian military or invented the story to evade the case against him.
This dude was on trial for some awful shit so he decided to defect to fucking Russia. It also speaks to the current state of affairs in the Russian military where they will openly and excitedly accept a former American service member. They ignore the charges which arent limited to his child porn case. In that case alone, he was looking at a minimum of 5 years in a state penitentiary which is obviously no joke of a sentence.
He also has more charges.
The former city councilor was also facing additional charges of forgery, counterfeiting and obstruction of the judicial system for forging email documents to deceive Rhode Island authorities and his commanding officers at the Barnes Air National Guard Base.
It's not often that I would say a foreign adversary like Russia, Iran, China, and various militant groups across the globe should keep an American troop but this is certainly one. I hope this dude stays in Russia. I hope that his fleeing ends up being much, much worse than just a 5-year prison sentence.
Once the American public finds out what he did and why he ultimately defected, no one will care. They wont care in the slightest if that piece of shit stays in Russia, dies on the frontline, or spends the rest of his life in a Russian prison. I don't. That's for sure.
There's only been a few cases that I can remember off the top of my dome where I don't care what happens to an American.
The last time I can remember feeling this way was when Bowe Burghdal was sitting with the Taliban. He decided to leave the FOB on his own accord because he was trying to protest the war and walk to Pakistan. That shit didn't exactly work out for him. I hated him then and I hate him still.

At the time, this is what I said about Bowe, " We should have left Bowe Bergdahl on the battlefield. I would have never come to that conclusion if Bowe would have just kept his bitch ass mouth shut. From the letters that he wrote his parents while he was still in Afghanistan to Serial season 2 where he runs his fucking mouth to the parts in this most recent interview that he did with a British paper, Bowe just needs to learn when to shut the fuck up.
If I was the military judge today and I read this interview that he granted just DAYS before his sentencing, I would make the sentencing tougher. I would toss the proverbial book at his dick. Sure, Bowe pleaded guilty, but he hasn’t shown an ounce of remorse for his actions. He hasn’t taken responsibility for the lives that were either changed forever or stripped away completely because of what he did. Reading his comments made me feel fucking sick. It’s the same pie in the sky self-aggrandizing bullshit that made him abandon his post in 2009. The Army conducting a trial is in no way, shape, or form on the same level as the goddamn Taliban. The egregiousness of the hyperbole really is sickening.
Overall, I’m sure Bowe is right. I’m sure there are thousands of soldiers on every US military installation who want him dead and would love nothing more than to slit his throat wide the fuck open. The difference is that these soldiers have the discipline to not act on their own accord and take matters into their own hands. If Bowe would have had that same, most basic level of military discipline and soldierly virtue, he wouldn’t be in this position. His comments to a British paper prove that he didn’t, doesn’t, and won’t.
This new defector isn't anywhere near as important as Bowe was and that's not because Bowe was special. It's not as important because no one will die trying to save Wilmer. No one will try to get him back. No one will cry tears for him. I certainly wont. Stay and die in Russia. Fine by me.
