Joe Musgrove Did Nothing To Hide His Hatred For Ex-Padre Josh Hader, As He Praised New Closer Robert Suarez For Actually Getting More Than 3 Outs To Save a Game

During Josh Hader's tenure in San Diego he was outspoken about recording more than three outs in a game. Was completely out of the question. Don't even bother asking, the answer was no. This line of thinking originated during his time with the Brewers when Hader was taken to arbitration and told that saves mattered more than anything, and 4+ out performances were worthless. This is the same Brewers team that ruined their relationship with Corbin Burnes over less than a million dollars during their arb hearing. They're really good at pissing off their own players.

Here were Hader's exact words to the Foul Territory guys:

"When I was told to my face that [multiple innings] are not worth anything, it's about saves… that's where I was like, I'm not gonna blow my arm out if you're not gonna invest in me"

Hader decided to take that frustration into San Diego and punish them as well, even though they did avoid arbitration with him in their lone opportunity. In his two years there he refused to be a team-first guy if the opportunity came about and you can tell it was an issue with the players and coaches.

Well, now that Hader is off to Houston, the Padres have turned to Robert Suarez as their new closer. Incredibly enough, two of his three saves so far have had him get…(gasp!)…four outs.

The man is a hero to the city. Joe Musgrove can't believe his eyes. What is this witchcraft? Well, in an awesome move, he decided to throw some shade towards Hader.

No plans on being subtle there. Basically called Hader a pussy to the whole world. Incredible. Thought for a second he'd admit they have a secret dart board they play with that has Hader's face on it. They fucking hate that guy, huh?

Let's check in on how Hader is handling his new digs.

Padres host the Astros in September. Here's to me hoping that game means something for both sides and the intensity at Petco is through the roof.
