Other Division I Stars Comparing DJ Burns To Escalade From The And1 Tour And Left Handed Jokic Is Why He's America's Favorite Big Fella

Don't take my word for it, take Jack Gohlke and Tyler Kolek's words for it. They are stars, I mean Gohlke is now a verb in the Barstool world and he's basically one of us now? And then there's Kolek who was an All-American. If he's going to call him Escalade from And-1 Mixtape Tour, I have no choice but to say yep, that's correct. Do you remember how awesome Escalade was?

1. I still can't believe that's Mark Jackson's brother.

2. I got to see the And-1 Mixtape Tour at Central High School back home in York in 2000. That was AWESOME. They broke a backboard, place went nuts. You wanna talk about living in the moment? Go see And-1 Mixtape Tour back in the late 90s/early 2000s. It was by far the coolest thing you could do since American Gladiators was gone by that point.

Okay, back to the important stuff. DJ Burns has transformed into the darling of the NCAA Tournament. It happens every year and you never know where it's going to come from. It's part of what makes this the best event in the world. Usually it's a guard on a double digit seed who comes out of nowhere and scores 25 in a win or something like that. It's Doug Edert's stupid mustache. This year it was basically whoever won the DJ Burns/Jack Gohlke battle for America.

Besides being a star, he's an entrepreneur.

Dude has life figured out. A star in the NCAA Tournament who is on the heater of a lifetime, gave his coach an extension and hundreds of thousands of dollars and being compared to Escalade and Nikola Jokic. That's the peak of life as a big man and the DJ Burns run to the Sweet 16 has solidified himself as America's favorite Big Fella.
