Jets Continue Decent Offseason By Signing WR Mike Williams

Love love LOVE this pickup for the New York JETS.

Mike Williams comes to the Jets on a 1-year deal, expecting a big role as a WR 2 behind Garrett Wilson. The biggest key for Williams will be to stay HEALTHY. He has played in over 85% of games before his ACL tear this season, but the question was always would he finish the game.

The Jets were able to get Mike Williams on such a deal because of these injuries, but his upside could be huge for the team. Of course, all of this relies on Aaron Rodgers being the Jets QB in September and not a VP for a guy who has zero shot to win the presidency. It's hard to truly judge 2023 because of the Rodgers injury, but Lazard was brought in to be the WR2 last year and he was an absolute failure. It's possible with the return of Rodgers plus a reduced role, this signing could help him.

Thanks to the signing of Tyron Smith and Mike Williams, here is what the offense should look like in 2024:

QB: Aaron Rodgers

RB: Breece Hall

WR1: Garrett Wilson

WR2: Mike Williams

WR3: Allen Lazard

TE: Tyler Conklin

LT: Tyron Smith

LG: John Simpson

C: Joe Tippmann

RG: Alijah Vera-Tucker

RT: Morgan Moses

That is a stacked offense….which also has a lot of injury concerns. That will be the most likely downfall of the Jets in 2024. If everyone stays healthy? We may finally be all the way back. Or it will again be nothing but pain, thanks to Nathaniel Hackett.
