Robert Downey Jr. Won First Oscar And Gave A Helluva Speech

RDJ is obviously a guy that has had to struggle a lot in his life. Since being nominated for 'Chaplin' in '93, he battled through a bunch of substance abuse problems to achieve an incredible renaissance following 'Iron Man'. By the way, shoutout to Jimmy Kimmel for being sure to linger on that bad bit to start the show off tonight. 

Anyway, RDJ absolutely crushed it in this movie. He was the perfect, grounded antagonist in a movie that had literally nuclear-level implications. I love that speech and that he not only thanked those who helped him make it on a personal level, but those who had to fight tooth and nail just to get him work. He's really inspirational story for not only those struggling to never give up, but also to never give up on those who are struggling. 

Honestly, I can't wait to see more serious work from him in the future.
