LeBron Is Basically Trying To Bribe Ohio State To Hire Dusty May By Reportedly Offering Millions Of Dollars In Donation And His Son Bryce Playing There

We know LeBron claims he would have gone to Ohio State if he played in college - along with Akron, UNC, Duke and basically every other school. But, now he's trying to convince Ohio State to hire Dusty May? Come on. Dusty May doesn't need this sort of bump, he's one of the hottest names in coaching searches even if everyone assumes he's just going to get the Indiana job whenever they move on from Woodson.

This is where I'd be conflicted if I'm an Ohio State fan. I don't want LeBron choosing my coach, we've seen how that works out. I also don't want to feel forced to take his son. Wait until you see if he's worth a scholarship spot before you just hire a coach for that reason. But I do want millions of dollars. I don't care how big of a program you are, you always want millions of dollars. That goes a long way.

And for everyone saying look at what Jake Diebler is doing, don't just immediately hire the interim guy who has a good run late. It's not smart to do that if he's not a top choice. Shit, Texas was basically forced to hire Rodney Terry after last year and players coming out for him and now they are a projected 9 seed. Always, ALWAYS, do a real search and figure out who the fuck to hire that can win games for you. Maybe it's Diebler, but don't automatically hire him.

If LeBron really loved Ohio State, wouldn't he donate this money no matter what? Really makes you think. Shouldn't matter who they hire as a coach, but LeBron needs his guys or at least someone he wants to handpick for a year.

Again, it's not that hard. Bring home the two guys who led you to a national title game.
